You've been diagnosed with a serious disease and you might have also been diagnosed with a serious treatment for that disease, which is lung transplantation.  If you found this website, you're probably already exhausted from trying to find answers to what are some of your basic questions about, well, everything.  There's a lot to learn, a lot of concerns, a lot of unknowns...it can be scary!

I was diagnosed with lung disease in February 2024 at only 42 years old and eventually required a double lung transplant in June of 2025.

Throughout this life changing process I struggled to find resources that were up to date, explaining the different challenges that can be faced, especially as lung transplantation rapidly shifted from something that I might need in 10-20 years to something I would need in the next few months.

I am not a doctor or licensed medical professional, and nothing on this website is meant to be medical advice.  However, I spent 13 years in military medicine in the Army and Air Force and I have a good general understanding of basic medicine and science.
